The Scarlet Chorus: A Tale of Two Armies

The first act of the game is about navigating an ongoing war between two factions within your own empire. As a third party imperial judiciary you interfacing with the generals of both armies trying to determine who has legal right in this situation. The emperor kyros gives an edict and an edict is basically a magical law where if the armies cannot successfully take this position in eight days then everyone in the valley will be burned to death Edicts are a big deal in this world um and your character reads and reads the edict  to do such powerful magic that even reading it kills you uh so you're like special for being able to like read an edict.
