improving your vocabulary is one of the pillars, let's say, to get into advanced english. But when it comes to a improving vocabulary, you don't have to just learn new words. You can actually implement this very simple trick, which is what we call word formation. From the root, you start adding either prefixes or suffixes to form new words. One example of that could be the word imperfectly. So why would you say it's beneficial to learn affixes? I could think of at least three reasons for that.
