Transhumance - Is There a Difference?

i was very interested about the subject of transhumance, about people moving from the vale up to the hills. An you seem to suggest that there was a very definite route from theVale to the Hills but tat that was less evident the later you got. Yes, absolutely. I mean, i think there are these the special sort of broad, probly thyere, broad grassy and pathways called fielden ways,. which follow sort of ridge lines from the Vale up into the chilton. So clearly, people were grazing their animals in the hills because they wer, you know, that the vale was getting more densely populating.
