The Story of Saint Martin
The children said that they were from a land where saint martin was especially venerated. The boy didn't live for much longer after that, and child mortality was certainly common in the twelfth century. But his sister, the girl, grew up to be a normal woman, and she got married in a town called lyn. And here the story gets even more interesting. So they were tending their father's flocks when they heard a sound like church bells ringing. They were so entranced by the sound that they lost track of where they were and found themselves in the fields where the harvest s were reaping.
