The Tree of a Game
The geometry of a tree exactly describes what happens when you play a game with specified rules. And that's why, if you know, for instance, a modern a machine learning engine, a essentially doesn't care which game it's learning. It's not built to learn go. It's built to learn how to play well a game with any set of rules of a certain kind.
