It seems that at best evolution could explain why we have certain instincts to tell the truth because all things considered truth telling is going to be more conducive to survival. But what it can tell us is that we ought to follow those instincts. And that's the very thing that has to be explained to offer a sufficient naturalistic evolutionary explanation to counter this argument. No objective explanation is needed when subjective is sufficient.
