The Consensus Between Light and Space
Black holes may end up as the interstellar traveler's best friend, allowing coarse corrections and gravitational slingshots that could never be done around another body at interstellar speeds. Don't get too close though, they are only mostly harmless. If you fall across the event horizon of a black hole, you are stuck in there,. even if you survive the trip. The notion that nothing in the universe can go faster than light is uncomfortably at odds with the issue that most of the galaxies we can see are now moving away from us faster than light speed.
