What Happened to the Chinese Restaurants?
In many cases, police enforced unlegislated curfews and raids. Women did not yet at that point have the right to vote. These bills and laws were deemed unconstitutional. One by one, they got struck down in the courts. All of these anti-Chinese efforts cut the number of Chinese laborers in the US in half by 1920.
