Awakening Consciousness
Darma had a very deep critique of the way that wisdom is normally conveyed. A gill nephew called beelzebub's tales, a compendium of the failure modes of psychotechnologies. In order to awaken consciousness we have to reach into our instincts and subconscious depths. And that requires different kinds of practices than are required by simply doing your yoga or believing some proposition. It requires struggle. It requires changing the relationships between the differet sub parts of the self. Very vital, very energetic. But you could describe it as subconscious, or you can describe it as conscious.
