The Electrifying Aretha Franklin - You Made Me Love You

Aretha Franklin was mostly a gospel singer growing up with her dad who was a preacher. She recorded an album at age 14 called Songs of Faith back in 1956, which was from what I understand just a straightforward gospel album. After that, she didn't really record much until age 18 when she decided I want to be a pop singer. So she got a contract with Columbia Records back in 1960 and they never quite figured out the element of Aretha Franklin that would make her pop.
