The Hierophanes of Enchantment

Hierophanes is a term coined by Mercier Elia to basically describe these incursions of the sacred into the everyday world. So there are these objects or places which we imbue with sacred meaning. And for the person that understands them, they unpack layers and layers of sacred meaning and sacred feeling. I wanted to think about what our Hierophanes are because then they're no longer the traditional Hierophanes that we will maybe give them when we're growing up. But I think that we're beginning to create new Hierophanes now - desperately.
