The Benefits of Being an Indie

R&D is something that both indies and big companies can enjoy. It just comes with different mechanics and different pressures. In the case of multi person teams or, you know, all the way up to big companies, I think it can be hard to justify the expenditure on this kind of thing. As an indie, you can also feel like if you are somehow not adequately keeping up with your main tasks, it can be really hard to ever make the time to explore or to experiment.
