A Hold Doesn't Hold as Long as You'd Hope
We have learned from this guy, gregg, the frequent miler, that you can put some awards on holds. Do you need to have the miles in your account already in order to put them on hold, or could you put them on holed and then transfer? Ah, and a can take anywhere from a day to three days for the transfer to complete. And i should make a point that too, when you mentioned that it didn't hold as tightly as you would hope.
