The book tells the story of a 12-year-old girl called Tili. She is at that stage in her life where she's very self-assured and competent. But then she meets somebody who makes her think, 'the world is much stranger' Recent discoveries have shown modern humans came into contact with Neanderthals. So there's two groups that mixed together and we've all got a bit of Neanderthal DNA in us.
