The Failure of Indian Diplomacy

India is bailing out Sri Lanka in some parts. It has offered several loans, several concessions. But the problem is that Mr. Rajapaksha traditionally has been close to the Chinese and that is something at some level I would say it is a failure of Indian diplomacy also. India is their elder brother and it is saving them right now. So Indian diplomacy needs to work on this right now. Diplomacy is not 2 plus 2 is 4, it is not 2plus 2 is 22. It's none of that. It is the art of being able to negotiate with your back to the world. And that is what India need to work on right now.
