The Status Quo Conservatives Fear the Red Scare
The liberal conservatives are scared of the red scare, they're terrified of communism and vorshism all that. They really are worried that if they open up any door to the right of themselves All the subterranean fascist energies are going to come bubbling back up to the surface. The status quo liberals want to keep everything exactly 1990s frozen Don't open the door to criticisms on the left or on the right Just sort of shut all of that out shut all of it down Freeze us in this capitalist sweet spot and stay there as long as you possibly can Yeah, I think he's right in characterizing as he puts it.
