The Illuminati

The original aluminati had some weird rules, like not trust any one over the age of 30 because they were too set in their ways. And then in the 19 sixties, a guy named robert anton wilson and his buddy carry thornton decided the world was getting too up tight and authoritarian. According to a piece about this on b b c dot com, they wanted to bring chaos back into society, to shake things up. They decided they would do that initially by telling stories about the illuminate. A lot of people took the stories seriously, rather than use them as an invitation to think critically about the world around them. Turns out we're all being controlled by a cold.
