The trade off between garbage collection and sort of the explicit mali free approach is that the one is a little harder to keep tabs on or keep track of, especially under certain circumstances. For example, in v eight, they found that they could move a lot of the garbage collection off f the main thread. And so it'll actually take up compute cycles figuring out what to clean out exactly. So it old relsbe efficient.
