The Death Valley Shooting

Lloyd and Jeffrey Barris shot at police during a high speed chase from Nevada to California. The three people with a carload of guns fleeing from law enforcement ended up in Death Valley. In Death Valley, son Jeffrey had shot down a CHP chopper. Lloyd has a strange wish: I just want to be dead. And turns on his own son.
