The Transcendent Promise of Wall Street
As the industry started contracting, it's become harder and harder for Wall Street to perpetuate this culty behavior. A lot of it has to do with ego because you know, it's much harder now to like work your way up from the mail room as you saw back in the 80s or 90s. But I'm curious what about the transcendent promise of Wall Street or this sort of like deep rooted sense of purpose keeps people in even when they could be treated better elsewhere.
