Television and Its Fragmentation

A lot of the inquiry into TV studies is very, very object focused. How does an object accomplish this? And what's not in the literature at least so far as I've read is the idea that flow is on the side of the subject. We make it, we smooth it out. It all seems to be a smooth operation. All seems to flow together. This was his idea and the, his idea is how does television overcome its own extreme fragmentation? That's flow. So everybody's over invested on the, on the object. Do you think that's something that's at work here?"
