Introduction

Stuart Fierstein is a professor of biology at Columbia University in New York. His lab studies the sense of smell in animals and he teaches neuroscience, but also teaches ignorance. He came up with this idea when he realized that the way science is usually taught, students might get the impression that pretty much everything has already been discovered.
