The Role of the Liberal Mainline in Conservative Theology
The question I want all like conservative theological conservative questions to consider is anytime there's been a denomination split in recent years it's always been the conservatives departing from the liberal mainline thing. There's basically no examples of liberals splitting off and running away because they don't want to be with the conservatives. In practice every split has been the conservatives leaving so the question that I think we all need to ponder is why is that? Yeah, that's a good question. Well I mean part of that might just be the liberal ethos. Individuals tend to be more kind of inclusive and accepting but sometimes they're just desperate for leadership too. So I think that's a fair question to wrestle with.
