The History of Royal Enfield Motorcycles

Royal Enfield is the oldest motorcycle maker in the world. It started out in 1901, producing motorcycles in England. In the 1950s, it built a plant in India to supply military motorcycles to the country's army. But it shut down in 1971 and was later merged into Isha Motors in 1994. By the time Rod left Harley-Davidson after 20 years with the company, Royal Enfield had grown very big.
