Is Psalms the Prayer Book?

The psalms are where we learn to bring our whole self, our honest self, to god. Worship is where we meet god with our hope and our joy, but it's all where we meet God with our anger,. With our sadness, with our sorrow, with our stirrings, with our suffering. It's in that place, the place where we're deeply honest, that we encounter more of god because we're giving god more of us.
