Is the Mirror Phase Really the Privilege Route of Libido?
i've been running through expositions of the mirror phase based on what lacon had to say about it, rather than acturally looking at data from working with children. And i think it laco gets the idea of the mira phase, not by observing babies and infants, but from reading books. He takes it from other authors and then gives it his own spin. It's a lot more complicated than we usually make it appear to be. There is a kind of danger here of just using the term s risance to revive the old, simplisitic frouden model of an excess of psychical energy.
