How to Do a White Balance Adjustment With the Camera

The camera needs something to tell it what that white looks like under specific light conditions. People sometimes hold up a piece of white card or white paper in front of the camera because that's really telling the camera to make adjustments. So you tell the camera, right, I want this to be white, and it then makes an adjustment to compensate for that yellow light. It makes a blue adjustment to bring that piece of paper back to white again. That's the process of doing a white balance adjustment with the camera.
