The Importance of Programmatic in Retail Marketing

The notion of trying to sell that stuff programmatically is interesting, but also at some basic level hurts my head because it just it doesn't actually make any sense in terms of how business plans work. Like, that's just not how a retailer allocates in store, merchandising opportunities at all. It's just completely, it's completely not how that business planning process works. I think there's something interesting to the idea of being able to buy, as you said, remnant inventory at an audience level across multiple retailers.
