Nasal snoring is caused by turbulence inside the nasal airway and the nasal farense. By changing breathing patterns, you can reduce resistance in the airway. Has the individual got ther mouth open? That's going to increase the risk of sleep apnea. Are they breathing using the upper chest, that's going to increased the risk. And once the person starts adopting and embracing those habits, it's cost effective.
