The Rise and Fall of Luther

Luther posted the 95 theses on October 31, 1517. He was condemned as a heretic in May of 1521 - with Charles himself presiding. Luther's views spread like wildfire throughout the Holy Roman Empire and beyond. By the time they took action, it was already too late. The printers had discovered that the reformers were big, reliable business.
