The economy is an inconceivably complex network of interconnected flows that are deriving their existence from a combination of people's needs, energy inputs and material inputs. And so if you ask the question, what does it take to switch every layer of that fractal structure to a different energy input at once, you're going to get an answer that looks like that's not possible. It turns it in it, like from a macro zoomed out perspective, that looks like death or collapse or something imploding upon itself.
