The Cliffhanger: A Good Thing

The Stormlight Archive books are very complicated in form, but when you start to think of them as a collection of scenes. Once I understand that with the different scenes they're trying to accomplish, I can construct chapters. With those chapters I can construct arcs which are smaller than a book. We have a change of scene or new place, or we have jumped ahead in time or- A new idea. Or a gunshot just went off. Yeah. The cliffhanger is a really good thing. It's not a really good things, but a good indicator.
