Sally Kohn: Historically, this amorphous, expansive, limitless nature of police power was only really clear to certain communities. She says that as soon as it entered into the world of the middle class, you know, a couple nice middle class couple having a walk in the park and suddenly finding themselves stopped by the police became a news item. Kohn: What was being encountered there was something that working class and black people have known for a very, very long time.
