The Food Crisis in Ukraine
Ukranians have manage to transport a fraction of their last harvest by rail. 25 million tons of grain are currently stuck in ukranian ports that are being blockaded by russian forces. Food produced by china makes up around 20 % of total world exports. The zero cove policy being enforced in china means that many farmers there are unable to work, and far less food is being produced than normal. A reduction in food supply means that prices can be expected to rise.
