Marty's Story About a Gun Barrel

Marty explained it seems Scott and Paige have been keeping the extent of their relationship hidden from Desiree. The detectives then began asking Marty about the gun barrel found at his work. He claimed he'd been trying to sell some gun parts to make a bit of extra cash. At this point, Marty's story was starting to sound a bit too convenient. But he couldn't remember who or where he'd gotten it from, only that he was absolutely certain he'd gotten It months after Desiree had been killed. And deliberately left open the possibility that it may have been given or traded to him from Scott.
