The Evolution of Entropy

The question of life organizing seemingly in opposition to entropy is being rephrased. Life as, you know, like Prigigine's dissipative structure as a way for energy to distribute through an environment more effectively means that all of the order we observe in the world is due to evolutionary novelties or new technologies. We can still predict that this next state exists and so even if we individually lack the imagination to predict the next thing that fits into that newly created niche we can get pretty well guaranteed that something will go there because the free energy has been made available.
