How to Motivate Yourself to Learn and Improve Your Craft

I think that I find it really hard to learn if I don't have a use case for it. Or like a specific need. It's more like, oh, I am coming up against a wall in my design process or I'm like, this is taking so long. That definitely motivates me to figure out, okay, how can I do this better or more efficiently? Is definitely more motivating for me than just looking at an interesting skill and then figuring out how to apply it. When I was early on, I just wanted to soak in anything and everything which allowed me to take inspiration from lots of different sources. But yeah, I'm a little bit more focused now.
