New York City Department of Corrections - What's Your Strategy?

The Robert Endavoring Center, which is also known as R&D.C., was once the most violent facility on Rikers Island. Now it's been transformed by a multi-pronged strategy that includes replacing doors and windows to make sure detainees don't have access to weapons. The total system fiscal year to date slashing and stabbing is down 10 percent. But what's also significantly down across the system is assault on staff.
