Is That the Original Hopfield Network Idea?

Physicists in the early 1980s were all interested in spinglasses. Hopfield, one of his contributions was to show that how do you put the local minima in? It turns out you do it with heavy and learning. You take the vector, right? And then you take the cross product and then put those into the weights. That was the original Hopfield network idea. But so, okay, so then we get to 2010 and basically GPUs come in and one starts to be able to do all sorts of things. Is that a fair? Oh, you could jump. Okay.
