26% of the US workforce is currently working remotely, but that number is going back up. 68% of new companies formed today are actually stating that they want to be able to work remotely from the get-go. There's a friend of mine who is the head of remote for a company called GitLab, and he had this great mindset connected to this: asynchronous management is like the first Model T rolling off the production line, and the old 20th century model are horses. You want to be the Model T, you don't wants to be the horse.
