The Role of Economic Power in Social Life
I think economic power is an expression of the unique human capacity to inscribe social relations in our material surroundings. In capitalist society, that ability has been used to create a system of domination. I don't think it would make sense to try to get rid of that capacity or to do that externalizing social relations inour material environment. So what we should aim for is to create a society in which that capacity is used to make sure that domination does not exist and that it keeps being that way. It could also be a legitimate form of power, a democratic form of power. And expression of collective decision making or something like that.
