Sports betting is largely a demographic of males between the ages of 21 and 65. In new jersey, that would constitute about one third of the population. If if just one out of, say, three events loses, you lose the entire stake. Sports books are introducing gimiky plays where the sports better has has the worst of it.

This episode was produced by Hady Mawajdeh, engineered by Efim Shapiro, fact-checked by Laura Bullard, and hosted by Sean Rameswaram, who also edited.
