There seems to be this weird acceptance that the war will not be won on the battlefield, but yet this real resistance to conceding that the military solution should be taken off the table. We have every indication that Ukraine has lost far more soldiers than it is admitting,. Yet here in the safety of New York and Washington, these writers are just calling for just one more big push. And I'm personally afraid that the Washington establishment, which holds the levers of the media megaphones will continue to reinforce this idea That if we don't support Ukraine they aren't giving them the ability to defend themselves from Russia.
