Moses instructs joshua to go to battle with amalik, gather some people and we're going to have the war. And this is an interesting illustration of how the jewish people do warfare. The son asks the man, did you see my father? The father's actually holding him, taking care of him at every step. He takes them his shoulders and he lets a dog come and bite him similar to the jewish person.
