Denial is sential to pandemics. It always has beenand we were talking a little bit about before we got on, just the sort of unique circumstances that may have amplified denial in inour society. Imagine if everything else were the same about what we are experiencing, but this vires killed ten percent or 25 % of the people it infected. That could have happened. We can be brought low by a pathagan much more easily than we be brought down by a foreign adversary. So we rightly see epidemic disease as a national security threat and have been preparing for it.
