The Story of Mary Seacole
Mary Seacole was a Jamaican businesswoman who set up her own hotel in Crimea. She made it out of driftwood, packing cases and iron sheets. Her main job was selling food to the soldiers but she really cared about them. In return for his help, Mary taught him English - he could only say 'good morning'
