Gita Gopaneth is the IMF first deputy managing director. She says central banks flooded markets with trillions of dollars during 2008 pandemic. Now they were drawing that cash from those markets, but what happens when they withdraw it? Banks in the meantime have written a lot of claims on that cash and as a result, things are getting very tight in financial markets.
