Are You Influenced by Women Writers?
I think the 19th century novel really for me are like, that's how you do a novel. And I feel their influence very strongly when I'm writing. There are always new writers coming out doing interesting things that push me in new directions. The internet was seen as being problematic for fiction writers but it feels like it's woven into your books. You know, so many traditional plots kind of hang on to WhatsApp each other while not being able to just Hang Out with people instantly. No, I've actually found the internet quite useful in writing books because it makes sense for the characters to express themselves and get to know each other.
