"I have this real inability to say no to people i like and and so, but what's humbling about it is it this whole time, you're sitting there thinking, while i'm, i'm letting people down your i'm i am actually inflating the extent to which they actually think about me," he says. "If i don't have a sunday news letter on a given sunday, it's not like x thousands of people are going, this is really ruined my sunday day."

This week David’s theological wingman Curtis returns from his July sabbatical. He’s rested and raring to go, but rather than dive into another hot political or cultural issue, Curtis actually has some remarkable insights to share about the nature of sabbath rest and the spiritual discipline of letting go, stepping away from our illusions of ultimate control and placing all our striving in God’s hands.
