Don't be surprised if out of a hundred students, only ten per cent actually have something close to a thesis argument. If you don't achieve it, and in the end, it's not crystal clear as like, a perfect o, two sentence thesis statement, that doesn't mean you didn't get there. And i'm not saying you have to work, i 12 hours every day, but you have to at least to get it once a day every day. That is the core value from an educator's perspective. I guess it means, technically, you did fail, but,  don't view it as a complete failure"
